Brand Feature: Bulova Watches
Did you know that many people often base first impressions on your timepiece? As Kobe Bryant once said, “Everyone looks at your watch, and it represents who you are, your values and your personal style.”
Most people only have one maybe two timepieces, which means that you need a timepiece that can take you from the boardroom, to the golf course, to date night. Lucky for us, Bulova offers a wide range of stylish watches that can do just that.
They’ve got a history
Founded in 1875, Bulova is an American watch brand that is renowned in the industry for their constant innovation and remarkably precise quartz timepieces. They credit its accuracy to tuning-fork based technology; the tuning fork that has since become the brand’s logo.
To put it in perspective, most quartz (or battery operated) watches can lose as much as 15 seconds a month, whereas Bulova boasts a mere 10 seconds a year. The brand’s dedication to precision is ingrained in the company’s core beliefs that time is one of life’s most precious commodities and you shouldn’t lose a second, especially not because of your watch.
Bulova has even made its way into the history books launching the first-ever TV and radio ads in the U.S. in 1941. They launched the very first electronic watch in 1952. The watch brand has even collaborated on over 40 NASA space missions on the timing equipment.
That’s right, Bulova has even been on the moon during the first moonwalk. Pretty impressive if you ask us.
Stylish and functional
Bulova offers many different styles from leather band to bracelet-style, different sized faces and various colour combinations. Plus, every timepiece features an incredibly accurate signature continuous sweeping second hand. What does that mean to you? Just think, “mmm” instead of “tik-tok”. If nothing else, it just looks good.
One of the most popular product lines is The Precisionist. This line of watches was released in 2010, featuring the aforementioned sweeping secondhand.
As its name might suggest, this quartz movement watch boasts to be the most accurate of its kind. However, the attention to detail doesn’t stop with time as all of the watches in the collection have acute detail to design, creating timepieces that can be handed down from generation to generation.
Bulova’s most recent product launch in 2016 is the innovative Curv collection, the world’s first curved Chronographic watch. The sleek titanium and steel case is curved so it follows the shape of the wrist, making it exceptionally comfortable for the wearer.
Each watch in the collection features a window on the back of the watch so you can actually see the movements- pretty cool for a chronograph watch.
For those of you who may not be up on your watch jargon, a chronograph simply means the watch not only tells time but can act as a stopwatch as well.
Watches are unique because they often become an heirloom piece in many families. Bulova has a long-standing tradition in crafting timeless watches that are great for first-time watch buyers looking to start a legacy or the seasoned watch collector. There’s really something for everyone in all different price points, styles and colours.
